Biography

Anya Piniag studied at the renowned Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, where she developed the foundations for an artistic language that moves between nature and urban dynamics. Years of living and working in New York, Milan, and Berlin shaped her aesthetic and thematic complexity—a dynamic interplay between the powerful movement of the metropolis and the contemplative silence of the forest.

Her inspirations are deeply rooted in the beauty of transience, the shapes and colors of the plant world, mycology, and mysticism. Her works explore the fragile position of humans between micro- and macrocosm—a shifting dialogue of growth, decay, and rebirth.

With a sensitive yet experimental approach, Anya Piniag creates works that blur the boundaries between science, natural philosophy, and visual art. Her practice invites the viewer to engage with the delicate connections that weave through our world—visible and invisible, loud and quiet, fleeting yet eternal.
